I really enjoy this experience

Im better at observations, but still not where I want to be. Im starting to gain a better understanding of what people will do to overcome challenges they place on themselves.

Finally at the point were I can see the same family again. Familiarity is good, because it allows everyone to feel comfortable.

The second time was better, because I was able to start understanding nuances of a supervised visit. I definitely need to improve my observation skills.

This was my first time conducting a supervised visit. It was just interesting watching the family dynamic.

1st Day of CASA training to become an actual CASA for children in need of care. Received an overview of the CASA responsibilities for the program, and overview of the child welfare system.

Last day of training to become a CASA volunteer for supervised visits. We were able to meet and be sworn in by a local judge. In addition, we were able to other key individuals that support CASA in the community.

3rd Day of training with CASA with the primary focus on child neglect and differences bewween domestic and child welfare cases. Another great day of training.

2nd day of training and really enjoyed learning about the Social Services domain and the ground roles for serving as a CASA. Just a very positive experience.
